National Championship 2014
During the period of November 16th until the 21st Curacao Table Tennis Federation has organized her championship to dispute the national titles in the different categories.
The federation can look back to a well organized event. The umpire corps came in for the day and the players well motivated for the games. The play field was set up like it should be on an international level. The referee Mrs. Ingrid van der Hilst has taken care that the games started like they were scheduled.
The whole course of the evenings was sublime.
A very aggressive public relation campaign has brought up a large crowd for especially the Friday with the finals. The stands were overcrowded and you could not put any man more at sites.
The head news with respect to the results are that Dimitri Leon won the category of Men Open Single by defeating Sigmar Carmelia 4-2 claiming back his title that he lost from Carmelia in 2013. The other big news was that Christine Dania won 3 titles winning all the 3 categories she has competed in.
